Hi, I am Ana
I work as a project manager. I'm a parent and an expat living in Lisbon, Portugal.
Several years back I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term assignment gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Started
Moving to Portugal wasn't in the long-term plan. Like many expat relocations, it began as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far more significant.
The initial few months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, routines, and expectations. Everyday chores seemed more complex than they needed to be.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, doubt, and plenty of learning on the fly. Yet, over time routines took shape. We found spots that suited us, met other families, and began creating something that felt steady.
Why I Built Zephyr Atlas Lumen
Most online guidance was either corporate relocation tips or shallow tourism content. What was lacking was genuine, everyday family insight.
This site aims to bridge that gap — practical advice drawn from real life in Portugal.
What This Site Is (And Isn't)
This site IS:
- Practical know-how from life in Portugal
- Centered on family life and everyday realities
- Updated whenever a real change occurs
This site ISN'T:
- Not an official tourism authority resource
- Not a sponsored review platform
- Not a generic travel blog
Looking Ahead
Our time in Portugal goes on, and the learning process continues as well. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll keep documenting what we uncover.
If you have questions about family life in Lisbon or anywhere in Portugal, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Best regards,
Ana
